I love the play of warm light from the setting sun and the cool light from the evening sky on the window. And, the diaphanous curtains add motion and movement to the work. I amplified capturing the constant breeze on the island by adding gulls riding on the wind and the chop in the water. The reflection of light on the water and the chop bring motion and life to the piece. You can feel the moisture in the evening air as the last rays of sun cross the bottom of the open window.
