Description
A delicious Greek onion stew “Stefato” provided a variety of onions that inspired a number of onion paintings during Covid. This 30″ x 40″ painting dramatically shows the simplicity and complexity of the onion. I was inspired by the wonderful light on the flesh and skin of the onion but more so by the light shining through the detached skin as though it were a small sun. The contrast of the textures in the reflections are truly special. I love this piece!
