Randolph Depot, Randolph, Vermont

I had just come back from seeing Edward Hopper’s work at the MFA in Boston when I happened on this scene. The warm sun was coming up on this town and someone had left the cool light on in the station platform in Randolph, Vermont. Perfect. If Hopper would have been there, he’d paint this I said to myself. So, I took a snap of it with my cell phone.

Description

The railroad track provides a strong diagonal and excitement to the composition. You can almost see all the way to New York City. The scene reminded me of all those Bing Crosby movies where New Yorkers took the ski train to Vermont so I named it White Christmas.

All prints are gallery-wrapped with a 1-inch medium-grey gallery wrap with hook and wire, ready to hang. Please call or email us to custom-order a different thickness or color.
